My Project
In our classroom we spend a lot of time on the rug as a class learning new mathematical concepts, exploring new phonics skills, as well as immersing ourselves in the world of reading. However, I recognize that my young learners sometimes find prolonged sitting a tad challenging. I am a firm advocate of providing students any necessary tools that they need to be successful. That being said my vision is to have alternative seating cushions in the classroom for anyone who needs it. Who wouldn't love to be comfortable. Having a learning environment where you can achieve the joy of learning but still have the coziness of soft cushions sounds like a win-win for everyone. These versatile additions won't just be confined to the rug; the students will have the option to scatter them around the room during certain learning opportunities. The goal is inviting my students to explore and learn comfortably.
