Alternative Seating Makes a Classroom Inviting and Exciting!
Help me give my students alternative seating choices: bean bags, wobble chairs, floor pillows, yoga balls and lapdesks- to make our transition from distance learning to classroom learning more inviting and exciting.
The 4th grade students at my elementary school are excited to learn and so happy to be back at school for face to face learning.
They inspire me to be a better person and teacher by their willingness to share ideas, their desire to make sure that everyone is included and their curious nature to learn new things.
They love to learn using all of their senses while collaborating with their peers. I love that they are learning that mistakes give us chances to grow.
My Project
Alternative seating gives students choice in where they learn best. During independent learning time, students choose a place in our classroom to work at their own pace.
Alternative seating will help make the transition from distance learning to face to face learning more comfortable, exciting, engaging, and productive for my students as they work to meet their learning goals.
The bean bags, wobble chairs, yoga balls, floor pillows, and lapdesks will make it possible for my students to choose a place in our class to work, while still being comfortable and taking charge of their own learning.
