This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students have been working so hard this year after a couple of years of learning through a pandemic. Our students have shown tremendous growth academically, and we have seen that intrinsic motivation has made progress, but we lack funds for the extrinsic motivation to provide rewards.

My co-teacher recently got alternative seating in her classroom and it instantly boosted student progress to show growth.

Students enjoyed sitting in the bean bag chairs, and finding alternatives from sitting at the desks.

I would love to provide this in my classroom so students have these options all day when switching from class to class. I feel like this would be a great way to keep our students performing at their best the entire school day.
