My Students

My students are comprised of Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade children with special needs. They are sweet, hard working and full of energy. They love books and imaginative play and are always eager for learning!

These children come from diverse backgrounds, struggling both academically, and in many cases, behaviorally, requiring frequent breaks, a variety of learning opportunities and benefit greatly from small group, differentiated instruction.

Meeting all of their needs requires a great deal of resources and thinking outside the box.

My Project

Having this type of seating in my classroom will greatly improve my students' ability to focus and attend during instruction. Traditional chairs can be uncomfortable and poorly designed for students with special needs.

Many of my students struggle with maintaining focus and attention and with having calm bodies during instruction.

Gently bouncing on these balls will help them feel calmer, which in turn will help them focus and maximize learning.

It will have such a positive impact on my class to have this flexible seating option. I know they will love and appreciate them so very much, while maximizing instruction time.
