Alternative Seating for a New Classroom Experience

My Students
I teach at a public high school in Utah. My students are extremely independent and very hard working. They are the type of students that make me extremely proud but also make me want to get out of bed every morning and give 110% effort.
With how hard my students work, I know that they will go on to do great things and change the future of this country.
I know that many of them will go on to become lawyers, doctors, business owners, mothers, and whatever else their hearts desire.
This is why I want to provide them with the best opportunities possible, to help push them, challenge them, and shape them into the citizens our country needs.
My Project
One of the biggest critiques of teaching in public education is that it has been built with a traditional working employee production mentality. I aim to transform my classroom from a traditional "sit in your desk and face forward" mentality into a more positive and collaborative environment. In order to help me achieve this goal I would like to add some alternative seating options for my students. I haven't decided exactly how I will decide who gets to sit at the alternative seating, but I am leaning towards a positive reward system where I can set goals with students and when they achieve them they get to choose their seat option for the day/week. Either way the new seating will add excitement to my classroom.
