Alternative Lighting In The Classroom

Help me give my students fluorescent light covers, lamps, and six night lights.

My Project

Research has shown that lighting can affect the learning environment. We are in a classroom with no windows and solely use fluorescent lighting. Too much fluorescent and blue light can and will be harmful to the development of the child.

The light covers and lamps can provide a less harsh learning environment to improve student focus.

Dimming the fluorescent lights and providing lamps could help prevent overstimulation with rigorous content. Each night light will serve as a group light desk pet to build community and teamwork amongst the table groups.
