Alternative and Sensory Friendly Lighting

My Project

The Color Changing LED Cube Lights I'm requesting can be set to soothing colors and dimmed to create a calming environment for students who are visually overstimulated. The Classroom Mood Filters in tranquil blue will soften the harsh glare from fluorescent lights and help students focus.

Many of my students struggle with sensory sensitivities that make traditional classroom lighting challenging.

Bright fluorescent lights can be visually overstimulating and harsh shadows can make focus difficult. For some students, softer natural light helps them concentrate better. For others, lamps that provide calming ambient lighting help create a sensory friendly environment where they can thrive. My goal with this project is to provide flexible lighting options to meet the needs of all my diverse learners.

Having the ability to control lighting and reduce harsh glares or shadows will create a sensory friendly classroom environment. Students will have lighting options that put them at ease rather than on edge. Flexible lighting solutions will help students focus and engage fully with learning activities instead of being distracted. Most importantly, the lighting accommodations will show my students that their needs are valued. I want the environment to empower them to shine bright! With your support, we can light the way for every learner to thrive.
