Help me give my students these alphabet sounds teaching tubs that will help them learn language as well as the letters and sounds they need to master to break the code and become readers and writers for life!
The students at W. Elementary are bright and imaginative, and full of energy. Our kindergartners are ready to learn and need engaging and kinesthetic instruction to help them to commit sounds and letters to their long term memory. Because we have an abundance of second language learners, these strategies are even more necessary.
Our school is beautiful and the surrounding neighborhood is charming.
It is a special place for the children who love coming here. Washington school families are committed to the academic achievement of all of our students.
My Project
Alphabet tubs contain miniature items that will help our kindergartners grasp the letter sounds and letter names, and even expand their vocabulary. Students who are still struggling at this time of year with mastering letter names and sounds truly need this engaging and magical support to make it to the finish line.
In order for students to be ready for first grade they need to know all of their letter names and sounds by the end of kindergarten year.
These instructional tools will push our students towards achievement this year, and beyond! They will be used in small group target instruction.
