My students need alphabet sounds teaching tubs to help them learn letters and sounds.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Huff's classroom raised $225

My Students
My class of kindergarteners is a fun group, who are eager to learn! They attend school in a large district outside of Denver, Colorado. It is a Title I school which means that there is a high percentage of students from low-income families. There are about 600 students in the kindergarten through 8th grade building, and over 85% of the elementary school children qualify for free/reduced lunch. Despite the struggles that many students face outside of the classroom, my students are excited to come to school and ready to learn!
My Project
In kindergarten, one of the things we work on is mastery of uppercase and lowercase letters and their sounds. These alphabet sounds teaching tubs will help engage students in meeting this goal in a fun and exciting way!
Each tub has several different small objects that are perfect for introducing letters, sorting, playing games, and building vocabulary.
These activities are all hands-on which makes them great for young learners!
My students will have the opportunity to practice foundational literacy skills and be on the road to reading in no time with the engaging activities that these sorting tubs will provide.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
