This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When students enter Kindergarten, they will be learning their letters and sounds. My goal is to build independence and encourage socialization in the classroom. By offering my students a variety of alphabet games and puzzles, I am helping my students develop essential literacy skills by enhancing letter recognition, sound recognition, and phonics skills.
Puzzles and games also make learning fun and engaging, which can improve motivation and learning outcomes.
Alphabet games help students visually and verbally identify and distinguish between letters. This is a crucial first step in learning to read and spell.
During our 30 minute independent Literacy Station time, I would like to use these puzzles and games to improve students' motivation and retention of letters and sounds.
