Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Each year as a culminating activity, I do an alphabet countdown. We celebrate a letter a day with Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Art activities. The students love using what they have learned to complete the activities each day!

Some of the student's favorite days are: P popcorn day, B bubble day, G gum day, and H hero day!

The students learn how so many items are made, use materials to make art projects. One of their favorite days is P Day, Popcorn Day. The students learn how popcorn is grown, packaged and sold. They watch the popcorn popping, and then taste test different flavoring toppings to find which flavor they like best, graph the flavors, and write their opinion.

The materials I requested will make these days more engaging, exciting and memorable for the students.
