Aloha Marketplace!

Help me give my students the opportunity to make tie-dye shirts, fruit cups, & boba in class! This project will help my students after the impact of the coronavirus and the challenges they had in learning this year.

My Project

We cannot wait to implement my idea of "Aloha Marketplace". In my class students will make tie-dye shirts, fruit cups, boba, and lemonade for the staff on campus.

My students are diverse but one thing stays the same across the board—they love to communicate and interact with staff and the general education students on campus.

My low functioning special education students will learn to them express how they feel and by creating various products for the staff on campus is a fun creative way to help them deal with my students returning to the classroom after a year of pandemic learning.

Once our products are created, students will be able deliver the tie-dye shirts, chilled fruit cups, or fresh lemonade to the designated person who placed an order on campus.

Students will use an AAC device or proper voice to:

1. Greet person, 2. Ask names in order, 3. Say the donation cost, collect money, write and give a receipt for the donation. 4. Say thank you when the transaction is complete.

This is a great project to teach my unique SPED students functional life skills by providing real-life hands-on learning experiences. This project will teach soft skills and help students emotionally as they return to a family-orientated school like ours!
