My 52 students from Green Bay, Wisconsin are starting their reading and writing journeys with the Reading Units of Study. This program gives all children an opportunity to learn and thrive within the classroom. My energetic 5th graders enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore.
Our students passionately read and create their own writing in multiple genres, learn life long skills of being responsible, adaptable critical thinkers, collaborators, and communicators.
They beam with joy as they proudly learn and discover new things every day. They love to learn!
My Project
Having this device in our classroom will open windows and opportunities for all students. Currently we have 51 students in our classroom. When we join up for our mini lessons and read alouds, not all students can see the mentor text. Having this in reading and writing workshop will support all students learning by not only allowing them all the ability to see clearly the examples, but also help them become stronger critical thinkers and researchers. We can place any text or image underneath the camera to get a closer look, edit and discuss together.
Even if students miss class for a day, they can go back and watch the lesson as if they were there by this wonderful device recording all audio and video it projects.
Please help all of my students be successful and never have to miss a lesson.
