All You Need in One Library

Help me give my students an enriching learning space that creates a love for reading. This includes a wide range of diverse books of their interest, a comfortable library space, as well as multi-modal and interactive teacher/student materials.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a reading interventionist, I have the unique job and pleasure to service a wide range and variety of students, from k-8th grade. One thing that all my students do have in common is an overall sense of happiness to be back to school in person. In the physical classroom, students are provided with more experiences to interact with their learning through the use of multi-modal materials.

I am asking for the chance to enrich my students learning experience with the use of more materials that would benefit the teaching and learning process in my classroom through my students varying needs.

Reading is a comfort or an escape for many people, and its helpful to have a choice in the books that students get to read to promote their interest in reading. Some of the books on my donors choose list were actually requested directly by my students. Students may also not have the access or exposure to a diverse library of books, providing such in the classroom would enhance students ability to reach a wide range of information and experiences.

It's beneficial to allow students alternative seating options when getting to read, to get them used to the idea of reading in a comfortable setting where they can focus, relax, and enjoy their reading time. Students may not have a good area to read at home so I'd like to offer them the opportunity to have a safe-space to read while in the classroom.

Please consider donating to my project, my students and I would be so grateful for this generous contribution to our classroom learning space.
