My Project

Thank you for considering my project! I teach 6-8th grade drama at two middle schools in my district. My entire budget for the year is $150. A donation from you can help purchase games and props for my classroom and the productions we put on!

My students are creative, full of energy, and excited about this new drama program!

I love how my class can give them a break from using laptops for assignments all day and a chance to move, be silly, and connect with each other!

I use the game Battleship to teach stage directions in a fun way by dividing it into parts of a stage. Guess Who is great for building vocabulary to create character traits, especially when we try to describe the characters as the jobs, personalities, and hobbies each one might have. Realistic looking props like food, money, and costume items help students to get into (and stay!) in character during practice scenes, improvisation exercises, and full blown productions.
