All the World is a Stage When You're a Drama Queen
My project needs a set of community helper costumes, a set of multi-ethnic ceremonial costumes, and a dress-up carousel to hold them for my dramatic play center.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As many people know, the toddler and preschool years are some of the most dramatic! I've decided to give my little drama queens and kings a place to perform- the drama center in our preschool classroom! I am a preschool teacher who has 12-15 preschoolers with special needs in my PPCD classroom in Texas. One of their favorite things to do is play, and playing is one of the best ways for preschoolers to learn.
Our dramatic play center is sorely in need of materials. I am asking for a set of community helper costumes, a set of multi-ethnic costumes, and a place to store them. As my children play together in the dramatic play center with the teachers, they will wear their community helper costumes as they practice being a mailman, a policeman, a fireman, and more. They will learn about other cultures and social skills as they wear their costumes from other countries when we celebrate holidays and do social studies. Having the costumes to wear makes out center activities so much more realistic for my preschoolers, and so much more fun.
My students are also well-disciplined and take care of the things in our classroom. These costumes and the costume rack will last for years and remain in good condition. If you are able to fund this proposal, please know that it will be money well-spent. My little drama queens and kings will have days filled with fun as they imagine themselves to really be firefighters, pilots, a little girl from Nigeria, or running around in their realistic Mexican falda!
