Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love seeing students thrive in a place where they feel safe, have fun, and want to learn. This is my ultimate goal in our TK classroom. In TK, students learn through play and socialization - and the materials from this project will provide lots of opportunities to do just that.
Problem-solving, compromising, taking turns, and working with others - are just a few of the skills that students in my TK classroom will learn and practice every day.
This project will put the finishing touches on what we need for our classroom to be perfect. A vertical bookshelf will allow students easy access to theme books for the week. Odds and ends such as a play rug, whiteboard markers, new items for our house area, and characters for our play sets will ensure that we can fully engage in imaginative play and add fun to very popular play areas. A TPT gift card will help us to purchase additional dramatic play packets to reimagine our house area space throughout the year.
Play is such an important part of learning, especially for 4 - 5 year olds. I am excited to provide a classroom where purposeful play will lead to powerful learning opportunities.
