This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher at a low socioeconomic school, I have the opportunity to make the difference that I have always wanted to make. I will never forget the moment one of my students burst out crying, later telling me that his family was homeless and he lost everything. I could feel his pain and I know that it is my responsibility to expose him and the rest of the students to the world of possibility. We learn and thrive together!!
My Project
What sort of things can you discover if given the right resources? My students are exceptional and if given the right materials will most certainly thrive in this moving 21st century.
My school lacks up to date computers in their classrooms, so with the Kindle Fires I will be able to give just about every student one to one access to technology.
We will be able to research and learn about the world around us. We will also be able to participate in technology driven assignments. We can discover apps that will make learning fun and easier. I will be giving my students the materials that they need to discover the world around them in a way that they have never been able to discover before.
