This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a Title I school where most of the students come from low-income households. I lack so many new and exciting resources, supplies, and materials needed to spark the interest of my students.
Nonetheless, these babies (my nickname for my students) are so eager to learn and come to school each day with smiles and hugs.
My Project
The materials that I am asking for in this project will help me give my students fun, interactive, and useful resources to use during their independent reading time. During this time, the students work on activities on their own level (kindergarten level). As you can imagine, this is not always an easy task to do or to keep their interests. The Teachers pay Teachers gift cards will help me to buy electronic task cards that the students really love to work with. I am asking for a set of 10 journals because I already have some of the same journals, but not enough for a class set. The students really love using these two items during their independent time.
