My Project
The sixth grade curriculum is heavy with physical science and how organisms develop and live. Each group will consist of 2 to 3 students that will use the materials to build an ecosystem. The students will learn and understand how to maintain the ecosystem and observe what happens to life in an ecosystem. Each group will receive a jar, seeds, rocks, and a piece of cardstock. The ink will be used to print a data tracker on the cardstock and students will keep written track of their ecosystem environment. The ecosystem hopefully continues to thrive throughout the year, and students will be able to analyze how the organisms interact in the ecosystem. They will learn about symbiotic relationships, and living organisms that need other living things to survive.
