This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Covid has had a huge impact on the learning of our students over the past year and a half. The materials I am requesting are both educational and fun, to provide support to students in the classroom. Students deserve to be rewarded for their hard work. The candy and T-shirts are used as rewards in the classroom. The shirts we design and customize using the HTV vinyl to celebrate students' birthdays, but not all students are able to provide a blank shirt from home. The electric stapler will allow students to easily attach their work and turn it in, quickly and efficiently. To bring a sense of “home” to our classroom, we use scented air fresheners to keep it smelling nice. I am asking for materials that students can use during both work time and free time in the classroom. The board games will be added to our collection for Friday Freetime or indoor recess on days it’s just too hot to be outside. My goal is to close the learning gaps that students have, from the effects of Covid and have school be a second home and safe place for them to learn and play.
