Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a Title I school, which is considered highest poverty, our students have little access to sports teams outside of school. We wish to provide our students with various competitive activities that they normally would not have access to. Our Physical Education department looks to create all star tournaments for our best and brightest in basketball and volleyball.

Due to our status as a title 1 school (high poverty) it is difficult to reward our all stars with something to symbolize their achievement .

Our goal is provide our students with medals and wrist bands. These items can help them remember their time at our school and the all star achievement they were able to earn.

My Project

Much like the All Stars that play in professional sports, high school and many tournaments around the country we want to give our students a memory of their achievement.

These medals and wrist bands will symbolize their achievement.

Sports can do a lot for the self esteem of young person. Our hope is that these awards can generate a positive message to our students, if you work hard you can achieve most, if not all your goals, whether they are on the sports floor or off of it. It can also motivate those students who were not able to to make the all stars to work and achieve that goal next year!
