My Students

I have six students in my self-contained Special Education classroom. So far this year I have one student in second grade, four students in third grade, and one student in fourth grade.

All of my students are in our school because they need a different learning environment to be successful.

In our class, we learn about reading, language, math, science, social studies, and other subjects. We also learn about social skills and coping skills. Each student has special needs and teaching a class with multiple grade levels takes a lot of resources!

My Project

My students love to have fun while learning new things. Playing educational games is a great way to keep them engaged and let them enjoy learning something new!

Studies have shown that when students are engaged in their learning they are more likely to retain the knowledge and want to continue learning.

We will use the geography games to learn about the world around us. We will also use the various card games to have contests and learn about history and science.

While we are distance learning I will use the games virtually with my students. We will use them to learn in a less stressful way as we have live classes together. My students will enjoy the pace and the excitement of playing a game to learn.
