Help me give my students some fun supplies to make a SEL journal to process all the feeling that 6th graders have with school and peers.

My Project

6th graders have a tough time with balancing school, friends, and growing up. Giving my students journals to use to help process feelings is important to their success in the classroom and at home.

My goal for this project to teach my students to regulate their feelings by learning to journal.

By giving them an outlet when they are having strong feelings can help them process those feelings before making any decisions.

We have small group advisory classes and we try to do activities that encourage positive mindsets for students. By giving them specific journals, and fun pens, pencils and markers students will feel encouraged to use the journals. Hopefully this is the start of a long life skill of journaling to process feelings.
