This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In my classroom, I have 25 wonderful English language learners who are curious and excited to learn new things. Every child in my classroom loves learning. The pandemic has been a struggle for many. They miss going to school, their classmates, and teachers.

Although, struggles continue at home, they are willing to participate in our remote classroom and engage in activities

My Project

My wonderful students have successfully been able to acquire a device to help them stay connected. They are working on their google classroom assignments and lessons. However, my learners would benefit greatly from me having a computer that has a working camera to assist in creating video lessons. As of now my computer camera is not working and I have to use my phone to create video lessons. This is not ideal as I have to keep the videos short. Having a computer with video capabilities will ensure my students continue to receive the education they deserve.

I will able to create videos that show me reading books for students to see.

In addition, I will be able to video myself in teaching lessons across all subjects and posting them on to the google classroom. The camera will also help us stay connected during this pandemic.

Once we are able to get back to school. The computer will be another great resource for students to use at school.
