Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When working with students of all ages, my classroom management style focuses on reinforcing students' positive behavior. By calling attention to the positive things they do and say rather than focusing on the negative, more students start to emulate these positive behaviors. These positive behaviors relate to the ways the conduct themselves, how they treat classmates and teachers, how they treat their environment, and how they embody independence and responsibility. This includes a child's conduct, attitude, attendance, participation, and overall ability to make meaningful contributions to their classroom environment.
I strive to promote positive behaviors by motivating and incentivizing students to be positive role models.
I have a classroom treasure chest that is decorated, secretive, and keeps my students on the edge of their seats! I try my best to keep this chest filled with trinkets and surprises they will love. If funded, this project would contribute many amazing items to the treasure chest including playdoh, bouncy balls, yoyos, stickers, puzzles, bubbles, and more. The students I work with are always so gracious for even the smallest gifts and this small token really goes a long way for them. With your help, students can earn rewards for these positive behaviors they display as they each make our school environment wonderful in their own way.
