My Students
As second graders transitioning into third grade, my students are learning to be organized, independent, and responsible. My students are very curious. They ask questions about everything! They love to explore and learn through hands on activities. They are highly motivated and are learning to take responsibility for their own education.
My students are getting ready to take their first standardized test of their school journey.
They have high goals and expectations. I am very proud to be their teacher.
My Project
As a third grade teacher, I have the responsibility of transitioning my students from dependent learners to independent learners. Third grade is the first year students are required to take a state mandated standardized test. I have one year to get them ready for this test. You might say in third grade, school is not considered "fun" anymore. We do not have as much time for recess, parties, and exploratory centers. The write and wipe boards, measurement models, social studies interactive games, and privacy partitions will allow my students to be actively engaged in their learning. Third grade is rigorous and the math is especially difficult. The items in this project will better allow them to truly understand and master these new skills!
