My Students
My unique scholars are awesome. I love the fact that they want to learn and value their education at such young ages. They love the hands-on experience that I provide for them and it shows in their growth. My classroom is the closest thing to a home/family to some of my scholars due to unfortunate issues in their life. Overall they are the sweetest and caring kids I know. A lot of my scholars walk themselves to school every day and still manage to be full of energy and motivated to learn as soon as they walk in my classroom and that is an unexplainable feeling
My Project
One of the most important things for 2nd-grade scholars to grow academically is to have hands-on experiences with every lesson. It is very beneficial for lessons to be taught concretely before being seen abstractly. Hands-on manipulatives make learning fun and exciting and also helps with relationship building when used in groups. They are great for the implementation of workstations. Being able to use the base-ten blocks on top of place value mats that can be written on with dry erase markers will help students gain a better understanding of how to add, subtract, compare, and orders numbers and much more. By donating to this project you are not giving me a chance to create a high-level creative learning environment but you are indeed playing a huge factor in my 2nd-grade scholars grow academically.
