This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd-grade terrific Torchlighters FLY into our school every day eager to start our day and find out what we get to explore next. I love having the opportunity to greet them at our door every day.

I have the opportunity to work with students in the GIFTED and TALENTED program that crave challenges and new experiences.

I look forward to these materials bringing many more light bulb moments to our class and seeing their faces elated from learning. They enjoy being exposed to unique, challenging and targeted learning experiences.

My Project

My scholars drive me to be the best version of myself every day. I am hungry to gain new knowledge on how to help them be college and career ready.

I believe in the mission of this professional development opportunity at a national conference, where the best of the best are coming together to share their wealth of knowledge!

I look forward to selecting sessions that will best meet my students’ needs and taking back this information to share with my school community. Guided reading and financial literacy are areas of focus I would like to strengthen from this conference. Financial literacy is a key life skill and I know the strategies from this conference will aid in presenting it in a student-centered way. This would impact my classroom and scholars for many years to come.
