My Students
I am the teacher of 24 high achieving students who are eager to learn every single day. Their smiling faces greet me at the door every morning and they motivate me to be the best teacher that I can be.
We are an incredibly diverse group of students who do not let our differences ever hold us back.
We are located in a low income school so resources can be scarce at certain points and times. Our goal is to learn something new every single day.
They come to school excited about the day and ready to work hard and learn a lot. They look books and the classroom library! We want it to be a high learning environment and want these students to have every opportunity available .
My Project
Having Kindle Fires in the classroom would help my class during our intervention block. I only have 5 computers in my classroom, and my students are required to spend a certain amount of time on different intervention sites each week. having such a limited number of computes and having such a large number of students in our class, limits the amount of time my students can spend on their required websites.
My students would be able to get on their required reading and math apps to help them during our work station time.
During reading my students could listen to stories being read to them and answer comprehension questions to improve their reading skills, such as Raz kids and Smarty Ants. They can also play phonics games, as well. During math centers, there are numerous games that they would be able to play that would help them master the skill for the week, such as Kahn Academy and Zearn. the possibility for these students are endless with this technology in our classroom.
