it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are very tech savvy for five year olds. They yearn for fast paced, fun apps to learn and grow. They are children with an awareness of the new age of technology. Hands-on is the way to go! My students will meet and surpass the common core state standards, and will step up to 1st grade.
My students consist of both low income, general and special education, kindergartners.
They are like little sponges that are ready to absorb what you expose them to.
My Project
Headphones will make our classroom a better learning environment because it won't be as noisy with everyone's iPad being heard. Many of my students get easily distracted when hearing so many things going on at once. At times it is very difficult for me to teach my small groups when the other students are on their iPads for reading or math and they have the volume up so they can hear it. I bought the cheap headphones from the dollar store, but they didn't last long because they broke due to being inexpensive.
Staying focused and on task is one of our major priorities.
My students and I would both really appreciate it if we had headphones in our classroom. It would make our classroom run smoother because it wouldn't be so loud.
