This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Reading is an integral part of academic growth. But most students think reading is boring! Could you imagine? That’s where I come in. My hope as a middle school English teacher is to foster a lifelong love for reading, but in order to do so, I need the right materials. My students need books that will engage, challenge, and make them want more. My students struggle to get to local libraries because of obligations at home. Many of my students are children of parents from other countries, hoping to give their children more opportunities here in the United States.
