All Bottoms Aren’t The Same! A Choice Seating Project!

Help me give my students choice seating options that enhance a learning environment that is comfortable and meets their individual needs.

My Project

Imagine a day long meeting in an uncomfortable chair. How miserable! My first graders can certainly relate. They are sitting in uncomfortable chairs for hours each day. Please help me provide my students with different options for seating that will make them more comfortable and therefore more apt to learn.

With the funding of this project, students will be given the option to stand while working at a raised table, sit on the floor on scoop rockers or cushions with lap desks, or get out those wiggles safely on a bouncy yoga ball chair!

But we can’t make this happen without your help!

My students are the sweetest bunch of first graders from a school where the majority of students live in poverty. I hope to teach these students next year as well in second grade. What a treat it would be to end the school year and start the next in an environment far more conducive to focused and comfortable learning. Thank you for any and all help you can offer. It is much appreciated!
