Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a community of multilingual learners exploring how to live, learn, work, and grow together. Students will use these resources, such as the various Lakeshore diversity kits, to learn that we have more in common. Scholars will work on class projects together to also learn that we are stronger together. Many of our young scholars are learning English for the first time and will engage with small groups to compare and contrast cultures. Scholars will have the opportunity to create family portraits to share them with our class. Students will feel included, represented and welcomed in our school community.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
