This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The literature in this project will help my young students understand that diversity is appreciated. Everyone has a place in our UTK classroom.

Representation is important!

When a child feels like they are represented in the classroom through art and literature, it helps them learn that they have value. It also helps them appreciate how other are similar and different from them and we all have something to offer.

The art items in this project will help me discuss the differences in our skin colors and this will promote an anti-racist environment.
