Help me give my students engaging books and flexible seating to encourage a love of reading and create a successful and comfortable learning environment.
My students' social emotional health is essential to their academic success. In my classroom, I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and safe atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and ready to learn. I utilize our SEL curriculum to help teach them about respect, responsibility, kindness, empathy, friendship, and gratitude. These important qualities are weaved into everything we do throughout our school day. I also love filling my classroom with a wide variety of books to promote and encourage a love of reading, in a calm and relaxing environment. I am requesting stacking stools and floor seats for flexible seating.
The science of reading materials and additional fiction and non-fiction books will further my students' learning and help to make teaching literacy fun.
I am excited to adapt our curriculum to the latest science of reading research. While doing so, I hope to reach all of the different learning styles in my classroom and these materials will help me to do just that. All of these items will directly help my students be more successful on a daily basis, and help to create an enjoyable learning environment. Thank you for helping to support our classroom family.
