Help me give my students a more entertaining and "welcoming" sensory area in class, along with an outdoor play area. Our outdoor play area would be for the students who struggle in a loud environment.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are all in the spectrum; each of them is unique in their own way. My team and I are looking into growing our outdoor area and our indoor sensory area. This will enhance our students with their developmental stages in areas that they need help mastering. Improving and strengthening their gross and fine motor skills, coordination, and physical fitness is very important, and many students lack outdoor activities these days. Our sensory room needs to be more welcoming. We want to make sure we make that possible for our students. Our school doesn't have much money, and our SPED Team is working together to try to make this possible. After all, we are all here for our students.
