This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a great variety of abilities and talents within my developmental classroom. I have a diverse group, some are learning to read, write, while the test of the family is just beginning to hear sounds.
This is a class of all kinds of personalities and abilities learning to grow and learn in many ways.
My Project
The materials will aid in sensory learning for my autistic children and give them the sense of learning and being independent. We can use our morning circle time learning center to touch all academic areas while using the wobble cushions and giving those students a space to relax.
As we get to know and understand our feelings and emotions, we will use all of the sensory items to learn to stay calm so we will be able to learn to read using our touch and feel books.
Thank you for your donations to our deserving classroom.
