This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have wonderful and motivated students that come from different backgrounds. Ten of my students are English learners. They are from Armenia, El Salvador, and Guatemala. I have never seen kids that work this hard at school. They are extremely motivated to learn and do well. We live in a digital world that is full of the educational information that they need. Most of the students receive free lunch. They are extremely polite and kind students. Every day after lunch and recess, we come back ready to start where we left off. This is really an exceptional group of kind and hardworking students.
My Project
I am an intervention teacher for k-3. I would really love to have the tactile letters for my students that need extra help and fun remembering letters. How fun would that be! The activity tree for Chicka Chicka Boom Boom would also enhance the room as well as be a fun way to remember the letters. The All About Letters Pocket Chart would be used for our letters of the day. These exciting and colorful items would make our room a fun place to learn letters as well as have a little fun. The word family flip book would be used by students who are ready to learn. Turning pages and reading word families together as a group or alone would be wonderful!
