My Students
We have a very bright and eager group of kindergarten students who enter the classroom daily ready to learn and explore. Through play, hands-on learning, and shared thinking, our young scholars continue to develop their ability to get along with others and explore ways of reaching out to the world around them. Though faced with many obstacles outside of the school setting, our scholars have shown that they are able to overcome many things with the assistance of plenty of support from teachers.
My Project
Great math manipulatives have a way of lifting the numbers right off of the page. The use of these materials help scholars experience math and learning in a whole new way. Fun skills such as sorting objects and comparing numbers can be brought to life through the use of 3-D shapes and money kits.
We want to create a learning space for our students that will allow them to use a variety of materials to increase and enhance their learning.
Adding these materials to our math centers will encourage our friends to find new ways to count out loud, recognize shapes, and apply math to their everyday life.
