This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

On Fridays we read, transporting ourselves into other dimensions, cracking codes, curiously reflecting, indignantly discussing and so much more. As a teacher I have gotten to witness my students become readers; and what an absolute joy this is.

This spring, help me get the seminal bell hooks text "All About Love: New Visions" for my Public Health Pathway students, Juniors and Seniors who are spending 4 semesters working to interrupt cycles of institutional and environmental oppressions through peer to peer health education.

We are seeking 30 copies of the book, so that each section of the class will be able to read this text, and then come together as an entire cohort for discussions.
