Help me give my students appropriate text for a shared research project. We will be learning about the different types of bats and what makes them unique. This class set of books will be very useful!
I have 29 first and second graders students in a middle class school. We are a suburban school with an active community of parents and teachers. We are culturally diverse, with about 25% of our kids speaking English as a second language. We are economically diverse, as well, which can create its own challenges.
My students love learning and are ready to take on the world!

My Project
This class set of books will allow each child to explore and read at their own pace. They will have access to their own text to reference and refer back to as they take their findings to a writing project.
My students love books, and will be so excited to have their own copy to read!
We will be using this class set of books, along with other resource materials to learn about the different species of bats. They will use their information to write a shared research report with their classmates about a certain bat species.
