My Students
Participating in art lessons and learning about artist has been so inspiring for my second graders. This year, as a way to supplement the curriculum, we have had artist studies focusing on a variety of artist. My students are motivated by the lessons that they seek books about these artists. After each lesson students will create their own art using the artist style and technique. Students always look forward to sharing their very own art portfolio that they've created with pride and enjoy.
My Project
I would love to provide my students with 11 more books about artist we are studying. My students all want to learn more about the artist we are studying and these books will help them do that. Also students will create an art portfolio of all the artist studied in this unit. I am also requesting 6 book boxes to help store our books. It would be so great to provide students with these art books. I feel so fortunate that my students have become so passionate about art and learning about the artist. I'd love to continue to foster this excitement.
