My Students
My preschoolers enter my classroom each morning eager to learn and full of imagination. My students thrive on activities that can utilize their imagination.
They enjoy building things at the block center, interacting in the dramatic play area, and playing outside on our playground.
They love being able to be creative as they are learning. Our school is home to students that come to us from a wide range of socio-economic status. The majority of my students come from moderate to low-income households.
My Project
We recently took our preschoolers to a Children's Museum for a field trip. They had a magnetic train set there that my students loved. As I watched them play and interact with one another I knew that they would benefit from having a magnetic train set in the classroom.
Play is an important aspect in the learning that goes on in a preschool classroom.
Through the addition of a magnetic train set in our classroom my students will have the opportunity to use their imagination to create their own cities and communities. Students will gain a knowledge of learning how to work and plan with their peers as well as problem-solving.
