My Students
My kindergarteners are amazing! They come from broken homes, poverty, and sadness! But when they walk through the classroom door, all of that gets set aside and we become one!
My five-year-olds are eager to learn, curious, and energetic!
Most have never been to preschool before and this is the beginning for them.
In those hours we are together each day, we dream of being doctors, astronauts, football players, singers, teachers, etc. They know the world is theirs! We might be a low-income Title I school, but inside my classroom walls, we are powerful and can do anything!
My Project
My kindergartners could really use some clipboards with their everyday work. We move daily from center to center with clipboards. We do our writing on the floor using them. The ones we have now are old recycled ones I have from a business no longer in business. They are marked up and brown — not really exciting. These new colorful ones would add pizzazz to our everyday work!
These colorful clipboards would be very nice for my students!
We would also benefit greatly from plastic book bags so we can check books out from the library and have a safe way to transport them from school to home to school.
