My Project
I want to keep the momentum going in my class by giving my students high-quality and rigorous projects to keep them engaged in their learning and use their problem-solving skills to connect to real-world applications. Students will learn how a smart speaker knows what you are saying and how it can control lights and appliances in the home. This project will guide students through the engineering process to design a smart home device.
Using a microcontroller, students will design and build their own smart home device to control an appliance with voice commands.
In addition, students will learn how smart home devices are part of the Internet of things (IoT) that connect to the Internet and exchange data.
Your donation and support will give my students the equipment and materials to design and build their voice-controlled devices. In addition, your support will allow students a hands-on experience to learn and be actively engaged in their learning journey.
