This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year I have the pleasure of teaching 6th grade math. My students are special because they show all show how much they want to learn. They strive to use technology to learn more. They ask questions constantly and strive to understand how the math we do will he used in the real world. My students work hard despite their financial struggles and home lives. These students want to make sure their future is bright and are willing to work hard to improve their lives.
My Project
In our first year of STEM, my students started with an egg drop challenge. This project will give them a chance to take what they have learned about gravity and apply it to the real world. With these supplies I can give my students a project that will test what they have learned this far. My hope is that we get a chance to see how force works in the real world. My students will have to think about the how to keep the materials safe while also thinking about the most cost efficient packaging. With this project my students will learn about physics and air dropping packages and gravity all in one.
