My Students
The students in our room are enrolled at an elementary school in Reno, Nevada. The culture of our school is special, and students maintain a high level of academic achievement, gain ample opportunities to work with the arts and have built a pretty amazing culture over the last 50 years.
In our room, students work hard and strive to be on a path to college, career and civic readiness.
All students enjoy working with challenging and complex materials that ensure academic and social success.
My Project
The premise of the Air Drop Kit is simple, students are given a real-world scenario in which they have to get supplies to an isolated community. Students will engineer a solution to this which involves creating a package that can survive a fall from a great height. Students will learn about the Engineering design process and the value of working through the scientific process.
Your donation will ensure that all 3rd-grade students at our school get to work with engineering outcomes.
The resource, Engineering is Elementary (EIE), is a highly regarded curriculum and well-matched to the Nevada Academic Content Standards.
