My Students

My students are active and motivated learners. They are inspired when they are making observations about real-world phenomena and then researching to find answers to understand the phenomena. Thus, they are constantly asking questions to better understand the interactions between land, water, atmosphere and living things in Earth's system.

My students enjoy engaging in learning activities where they can use multimedia presentations to answer their questions.

Exploring real-world phenomena is when I see high levels of academic and social growth in my sixth graders.

My Project

Student headphones will allow my students to hear multimedia presentations in a busy classroom. In the past, students have been limited in their use of multimedia presentations because the additional sound in the classroom is too disruptive.

Headphones will expand my students' learning options by providing opportunities to view current scientific videos, manipulate science simulations as well as hear auditory tutorial help on these programs.

The headphones will increase students' science reading comprehension. Students will be able to use the "read to me" option in their textbook.

Student headphones will also allow my students to edit audio narration to their own multimedia presentations.
