My Project
I need your support in providing my students with two iPads and two stylus pens. These tools will be pivotal in helping them develop essential skills for using AI productively and ethically. They will also directly enhance their ability to engage with technology in meaningful ways both in the classroom and at home.
The iPads will give students access to AI-powered educational tools that can help them improve their writing, conduct research, and refine problem-solving abilities.
With these devices, they’ll not only become more tech-savvy but also learn how to use AI responsibly—a skill increasingly essential in today’s world. The stylus pens will further support this by allowing students to make detailed annotations and edits, fostering a deeper engagement with their work.
A key goal of this project is to use AI to enhance peer editing and feedback processes. I plan to have students practice reviewing each other’s essays, offering constructive feedback, and refining their writing. This hands-on practice will prepare them for state testing, where effective writing and critical thinking are key. By using these tools, students will gain a stronger grasp of the writing process and learn to give and receive meaningful feedback—skills that will benefit them academically and in their future careers.
What makes my students special is their curiosity and determination. They come from diverse backgrounds and many face challenges outside the classroom. Despite this, they are eager to learn and embrace new technologies. The iPads and pens will empower them to take ownership of their education, develop critical skills, and build confidence in their abilities.
